Restorative Care Services

Whenever a tooth is extensively decayed or has a large filling that structurally weakens the tooth, a crown is needed. A crown strengthens and protects the remaining tooth structure. A crown is usually made of porcelain or porcelain with a metal substructure. Fitting a crown requires at least two appointments. The tooth is first prepared by reducing all surfaces, and taking an impression. A temporary crown is placed over the tooth while the final restoration is being fabricated. At a second appointment the permanent crown is then cemented on the tooth.

Whenever a tooth or multiple teeth are missing, the teeth on either side can drift out of place. This can lead to a change in bite or decay and gum disease for the remaining tooth. A bridge will hold the remaining teeth in place and protect the bite, along with increasing function and esthetics. A bridge is fabricated in two appointments much in the same way as a crown. The two teeth on either side of the missing tooth are prepared for crowns and a fake tooth is made in between the two crowns.

When multiple teeth are missing, dentures may be the most appropriate restorative solution. Dentures are a way to restore a more healthy and natural looking smile. To prepare a full set of dentures, the dentist will take several molds of a patient’s gums, and send to a dental lab to fabricate a custom set of dentures. Partials are made in much the same way as full dentures and are utilized when only a few teeth are missing. Over time the tissues supporting the dentures will begin to restructure and shrink, leading to loose fitting dentures. It is recommended that you have your dentures relined or rebased every 2 years and have a new set made every 5-7 years.

Root Canals

Whenever decay in a tooth reaches the pulp or nerve inside the tooth, the patient will almost always experience a throbbing pain that worsens at night or when eating or drinking cold or sweet foods and liquids. A dentist will relieve the pain and pressure by treating the root canal system which holds the nerve and pulp of the tooth. The dentist begins by numbing the tooth and accessing the root canal system. The nerve is removed and the canals cleaned. The empty space is then filled with a bio inert filling material. After a root canal, the tooth will gradually become discolored and fragile over time. To protect against facture, your dentist will recommend a crown over the tooth that received treatment.

Dental Implants

Whenever a tooth is lost the bony process that houses the tooth begins to resorb due to a lack of stimulation. The adjacent teeth can also begin to tilt into the space left by the missing tooth; this can cause subsequent decay, food lodgment, periodontal disease, and abnormal forces being transmitted to the teeth. One of the best options to replace a missing tooth is a dental implant. The implant body is a titanium screw or post that is surgically placed in the bone. Once integrated into the bone the implant replaces the root of a natural tooth. A porcelain crown is then fabricated to fit over the top of the implant and replace the missing tooth. A dental implant that is properly maintained by regular cleaning and dental checkups can last for many more years than any alternative treatment.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!

“I Actually Like My Dentist!”

“I had a root canal several years ago and that same problem area started hurting recently. From a girlfriend’s recommendation, I went to Dr. Hoang’s office for a visit. I am so glad I found him! For starters, their receptionist is very friendly and does not treat you like a ticket number at the DMV.
The environment feels comfortable and Dr. Hoang took his time to make me feel comfortable and explained what was going on. I came back later to get my procedure done and I am now feeling better than ever! Thank you Dr. Hoang!”

Cindy L.

“Not Trying to Empty Your Wallet”

“I’m in my mid-40s and having lived in many different parts of the country, I’ve had my fair share of good, bad, and terrible dentists. Dr. Hoang and his staff is that small percentage that are exceptional at what they do and actually give a damn about you instead of your wallet.
If you want someone who treats you right, these are the guys to go to.”

Robert A.

“Professional and Friendly”

“My husband and I have been going to Dr. Hoang’s denistry for years for cleanings and the occasional cavity.

We’re just so happy to have found someone we can trust and can do it right!”

Shannon & Al F.
